📋 Description

• Oversee the complete Contract Review process by assessing non-standard and intricate customer contracts, identifying ASC 606 treatment, and documenting technical accounting positions.

• Propel the automation and enhancement of revenue systems, close activities, and control design from the business case to go-live.

• Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and Deal Desk during contract negotiations to structure deals and maximize revenue outcomes.

• Assist in internal and external audits while ensuring SOX compliance.

• Manage complex and ambiguous revenue issues that involve material right options, variable consideration, and contract modifications.

• Develop AI-powered routines for contract review triage, memo drafting, reconciliation, anomaly detection, and audit support preparation.

• Advocate for and integrate Samsara’s cultural principles.

• Recruit, nurture, and lead a diverse, engaged, and high-performing team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience, including revenue recognition under ASC 606 within a public company, a high-growth technology organization, or in public accounting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Proficient in reviewing customer contracts and documenting technical revenue recognition positions in written accounting memos.

• Experience in enhancing or automating accounting processes and controls, including hands-on experience with an ERP or revenue subledger such as NetSuite, Zuora, or RevPro.

• Proven experience owning SOX controls and supporting both internal and external audits.

• Experience in leading, managing, or mentoring accountants.
