This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +13 more states.
• Collaborate with clients to gather essential information for the preparation of annual reports.
• Assess client-submitted documents for thoroughness and precision.
• Reconcile plans that only involve rollovers and plan stock through Excel and administrative software.
• Utilize administrative software to execute 401(k) testing and reporting tasks.
• Conduct outgoing reminder calls and dispatch emails to clients throughout the plan-year reporting process.
• Prepare necessary 401(k) government submissions, including IRS Form 5500, utilizing filing software.
• Inform clients about the management of their 401(k) plans and associated documents.
• Convey knowledge and simplify complex subjects for better understanding.
• Provide training on concepts relevant to a Retirement Plan Administrator I.
• Carry out additional duties as needed.
• Experience in document review and transaction processing as part of daily job functions.
• 1 to 5 years of relevant back-office financial operations experience in areas such as benefits administration, money movement and wires, insurance claims processing, tax preparation processing, loan or mortgage document processing, or compliance and quality-control support.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Preferred direct experience in retirement-plan operations, including 401(k) or IRA administration, recordkeeping, distributions and rollovers, compliance testing, or 5500 or year-end reporting.
• Preferred daily job responsibility experience with reconciliation.
• Preferred possession of an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, such as business or finance, or equivalent work experience.
• Basic understanding of 401(k) plan structure, ROBS, and IRS/DOL regulations is preferred.
