This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +13 more states.
• Collaborate with clients to gather essential information for the preparation of annual reports.
• Assess client-submitted documents for thoroughness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans involving only rollovers and plan stock utilizing Excel and administration software.
• Employ administration software to finalize 401(k) testing and reporting.
• Place outgoing reminder calls and dispatch emails to clients throughout the plan-year reporting process.
• Prepare necessary government filings for 401(k) plans, including IRS Form 5500, using filing software.
• Inform clients about the management of their 401(k) plans and associated documents.
• Convey knowledge and clarify intricate topics in a straightforward manner.
• Provide training on concepts relevant to a Retirement Plan Administrator I.
• Execute additional responsibilities as needed.
• Experience in document review and transaction processing as part of daily job functions.
• 1 to 5 years of related back-office financial operations experience in benefits administration, money transfers and wires, insurance claims processing, tax preparation processing, loan or mortgage document handling, or compliance and quality-control support.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• An Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business or finance, or equivalent work experience, is preferred.
• Preferred experience in direct retirement-plan operations, including 401(k) or IRA administration, recordkeeping, distributions and rollovers, compliance testing, or 5500 or year-end reporting.
• Experience with reconciliation as a regular job duty is preferred.
• Basic understanding of 401(k) plan structure, ROBS, and IRS/DOL regulations is preferred.
