This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +13 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with clients to gather essential information for annual reporting preparation.

• Assess client-submitted documents for accuracy and completeness.

• Reconcile plans involving only rollovers and plan stock utilizing Excel and administrative software.

• Employ administrative software to execute 401(k) testing and reporting.

• Make proactive reminder calls and send emails to clients throughout the plan-year reporting process.

• Generate required government filings for 401(k) plans, including IRS Form 5500, using filing software.

• Provide clients with education on the administration of their 401(k) plans and associated documents.

• Convey complex topics in a simple and understandable manner.

• Facilitate training on concepts relevant to a Retirement Plan Administrator I.

• Execute additional duties as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in document review and transaction processing as part of daily responsibilities.

• 1 to 5 years of relevant back-office financial operations experience in areas such as benefits administration, money movement and wires, insurance claims processing, tax preparation processing, loan or mortgage document processing, or compliance and quality-control support.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Preferred direct experience in retirement-plan operations, including 401(k) or IRA administration, recordkeeping, distributions and rollovers, compliance testing, or 5500 or year-end reporting.

• Preferred experience with reconciliation as a daily responsibility.

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field such as business or finance, or equivalent work experience, is preferred.

• Basic understanding of 401(k) plan structure, ROBS, and IRS/DOL regulations is preferred.

• A designated workspace conducive to concentration and productivity is preferred.

• Reliable high-speed internet is preferred.
