Retention Strategist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Act as the main point of contact and relationship manager for designated client accounts.

• Oversee the complete email production process, encompassing ideation handoff to design, email creation and scheduling, segmentation, and deployment.

• Provide assistance with the logic for email and SMS campaigns and automation.

• Manage and direct the strategy for Email + SMS accounts, including segmentation, list growth, and A/B testing.

• Implement and assess weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly email reporting along with analysis and recommendations.

• Collaborate closely with the creative team to identify trends, share insights, and suggest new strategies.

• Coordinate projects for new email triggers, transactional emails, and special initiatives.

• Keep up-to-date with email and SMS best practices and industry standards.

• Propose new methods, innovative concepts, and technologies to achieve KPIs.

• Report to the Head of Strategy.

• Work alongside design, copy, creative, and e-commerce teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is preferred.

• Minimum of two years of experience in email marketing.

• At least one year of experience in managing Email + SMS accounts and providing strategic guidance.

• Practical experience with Klaviyo, Postscript, or Attentive.

• Proficiency in segmenting email and SMS lists.

• Experience in client relationship management.

• Background in developing marketing assets and working with creative and e-commerce teams.

• Strong communication and analytical skills.

• Proactive problem-solving attitude, keen attention to detail, and impeccable execution of all tasks.

• Capacity to think strategically, work independently, and excel in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

• Excellent interpersonal skills; a team player who communicates effectively across cross-functional teams.

• Candidates should be able to work standard business hours (9:00am–5:00pm) in ET, CT, MT, or PT time zones.
