This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Oversee, develop, and manage retail growth initiatives including expansions, relocations, renovations, conversions, and new store openings within the designated territory.
• Act as the main point of contact and a trusted advisor for independent Ace retailers throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Offer project planning, guidance, recommendations, and support from inception to completion.
• Consult, develop, and finalize retail project opportunities utilizing consultative selling techniques.
• Educate retailers and stakeholders on the advantages of store renovations and investment opportunities.
• Motivate and inspire prospects, retailers, and Ace stakeholders to enhance project engagement.
• Cultivate relationships with retailers, District Managers, Retail Operations, New Business, Merchandising, and other cross-functional collaborators.
• Plan and outline project scopes for expansion, relocation, renovation, conversion, and ground-up store projects.
• Collaborate with District Managers on renovation prospect lists and consultation strategies.
• Manage both internal and external resources to adhere to established project timelines.
• Evaluate retail potential and opportunities to optimize store placement and sizing.
• Assist in reviewing potential real estate sites and assessing project feasibility.
• Analyze landlord-tenant criteria and construction components of leases.
• Monitor project updates and tasks using corporate project management tools.
• Conduct project site visits and communication calls to evaluate progress, ensure quality standards, resolve issues, support implementation, and guarantee project completion and transition.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or construction, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in capital project sales.
• At least three years of experience in project management, retail operations, store development, construction management, business consulting, account management, or a related area.
• Familiarity with Ace retail operations programs and initiatives.
• Understanding of basic retail store operations and management.
• General knowledge of building construction is preferred.
• Capable of creating detailed estimates and schedules through project scope development.
• Proficient in evaluating potential real estate locations for project viability.
• Skilled in assessing landlord-tenant criteria and construction sections of leases.
• Experienced in tracking and maintaining project updates using corporate project management tools.
• Able to lead, manage, facilitate, and coordinate multiple retail projects simultaneously.
• Must be capable of developing and presenting a project capitalization workbook.
• Proficient in building relationships and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
• Effective communication skills with business owners, executive leadership, field teams, contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Excellent presentation abilities.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficient in PC skills, including Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willing to work flexible hours remotely from a home office and travel throughout the assigned territory, including overnight trips.
