Retail Crime Investigator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct investigations and address incidents of external theft, including shoplifting and organized retail crime.

• Collect, analyze, and assess intelligence regarding individuals and groups engaged in retail crime activities.

• Record information obtained to facilitate successful legal action.

• Offer advice to store Asset Protection teams regarding investigative strategies.

• Manage the store's CCTV system effectively.

• Carry out undercover surveillance operations.

• Serve as a communication link between Weis Markets and local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.

• Forward cases to law enforcement for legal proceedings.

• Represent Weis Markets professionally in court hearings and mediation sessions.

• Efficiently organize time and scheduling to meet the company's requirements, including evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight shifts.

• Travel to various locations within a designated area to provide investigative assistance.

• Collaborate with Store Management and staff to safeguard company assets.

• Assist stores during significant business interruptions, such as robberies, protests, and natural disasters.

• A Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Business, or a related field is preferred.

• At least one (1) year of experience in retail loss prevention within a retail store setting.
