Residential Solar Operations Intern – Summer 2027

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Collaborate across various functions including billing and collections, document management, UCC and SREC applications, solar system monitoring, reporting and analytics, contract management, marketing, quality assurance, data analysis, finance and accounting, legal and regulatory, customer service, and information technology.

• Support daily operations for residential solar projects and customer needs.

• Create and revise user guides, job aids, and related documentation.

• Review completed tasks, pinpoint issues, implement corrections, and communicate status updates to management.

• Work alongside internal teams and IGS Engineering, Procurement, and Construction partners.

• Recognize opportunities to enhance efficiency, precision, and business processes.

• Assist the team in achieving accuracy, service levels, financial, and operational objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Actively pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Economics, or a similar field.

• Experience in solar or renewable energy is advantageous.

• Proficient in Excel with skills in business case or financial modeling, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, nested IF statements, and Boolean logic.

• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and SharePoint.

• Strong analytical mindset, technical aptitude, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent organizational abilities, keen attention to detail, and foundational document management skills.

• Eagerness to learn new systems, tools, technologies, and business processes.

• Capability to adapt and excel in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.

• A positive outlook, self-driven, accountable, and committed to ongoing improvement.
