Residential Property Lawyer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Manage your own portfolio of diverse residential cases, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and equity transfers.

• Oversee broader residential tasks, such as shared ownership, initial registrations, probate sales, and additional matters.

• Work on both freehold and leasehold properties, including new builds when necessary.

• Draft and finalize contracts and transfer deeds.

• Initiate and respond to pre-contract inquiries and follow up on any outstanding responses.

• Examine searches, titles, and leases, while preparing title reports for clients.

• Create completion statements and request mortgage funding.

• Coordinate and oversee exchange and completion timelines.

• Keep clients, estate agents, brokers, and all involved parties informed throughout the process.

• Transfer files to the post-completion team upon completion.

• Ensure compliance across your caseload, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), source of funds, and risk requirements.

• Maintain current case management notes and file records.

⛳️ Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Chartered Legal Executive, or equivalent experience as a fee earner.

• Minimum of 5 years managing your own diverse residential caseload.

• Proficient in both freehold and leasehold transactions.

• Capable of independently managing over 60 files with minimal supervision.

• Well-organized, self-driven, and comfortable working remotely.

• Strong communicator with clients, agents, and other legal firms.

• Familiar with case management systems and online search providers.
