Resident Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Engage in significant customer technical projects, encompassing implementation, troubleshooting configurations, promoting best practices, and developing MVPs and long-term solutions tailored to customer-specific needs.

• Provide consultation on architecture and design.

• Ensure that key dbt platform customers effectively utilize the product.

• Collaborate with Sales, Solution Architects, Training, and Support teams.

• Offer insights to product and engineering teams to enhance and prioritize customer requests while swiftly addressing engagement-specific challenges.

• Become an expert in the dbt product within the context of the modern data stack.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience working with enterprise clients across diverse use cases, preferably in a customer-facing post-sales, technical architect, or consulting capacity.

• Profound knowledge of at least one data platform: Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with dbt, ideally including at least 1 year with the dbt platform.

• Proficient in SQL with some experience in Python.

• Eagerness to enhance technical skills related to the deployment and integration of dbt platform solutions.

• Customer-oriented mindset.

• Highly organized and adept at managing technical project delivery, including scope, timelines, and deliverables across multiple projects.

• Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly about complex technical, architectural, and organizational issues, with a knack for proposing comprehensive iterative solutions.

• Capability to excel in a remote organization that values transparency and cross-collaboration.

• Approximately 10% travel expected for occasional customer visits, company retreats, and offsite events.

• dbt Analytics Engineering Certification is a plus.

• Ability to provide recommendations on dbt Platform and build consensus among customers is an advantage.

• Experience with traditional enterprise ETL tools such as Informatica, Datastage, or Talend is a plus.
