This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Act as the main technical resource for the ANZ Accounts team.
• Convey product and technical knowledge across security and observability use cases through presentations, product demonstrations, and technical evaluations (Proof of Values).
• Collaborate with clients to identify requirements and challenges, designing suitable solutions.
• Assist customers through the Proof of Value processes during the sales cycle.
• Foster positive customer relationships and deliver ongoing value.
• Partner with Account Executives and Account Managers to comprehend customer issues and articulate Sumo Logic’s value proposition, vision, and strategy.
• Successfully close complex opportunities utilizing competitive knowledge, technical expertise, and credibility.
• Manage all stages of the sales cycle, including leading technical validations.
• Engage with executives, individual developers, and Site Reliability Engineers.
• Present product and technical demonstrations of the Sumo Logic service.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management and Engineering to enhance the Sumo Logic service based on customer feedback.
• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Implementation Consultant, Support Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or Software Developer, with a track record of leading projects and/or working directly with customers.
• Practical knowledge of security-related products, technologies, and sources, including IDS/IPS, SIEM/Log Management, Network / Endpoint Security, Threat Detection, Incident Response, MSSP/MDR, Threat Feeds, and CASB.
• Experience in selling and working with pure SaaS solutions in multi-tenant environments.
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure.
• Comprehensive understanding of technical infrastructure, including servers, networking devices, and storage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with business and technical acumen.
• M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience with open source collections such as Telegraf, FluentBit, FluentD, and OpenTelemetry is preferred.
• Proven experience leading and conducting technical validations, such as Proof of Value, is preferred.
• Microsoft Azure certification is preferred.
• Knowledge and experience with modern application architecture, micro-services, containers, Kubernetes, Docker, and/or Lambda are preferred.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk, Datadog, Elastic, and New Relic is preferred.
• Experience at a successful startup is preferred.
