Resident Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Advise customers on best practices in the role of a 'Trusted Advisor'

• Recognize trends within the customer's technical environment, organizational structures, or priorities, and communicate essential insights to internal teams

• Collaborate across various functions, including Sales Engineering, Customer Success, Product, Marketing, and Channel teams to create customer value

• Engage with customers based in ANZ/SEA as a member of the Sales team

• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time and work on-site with AlgoSec customers

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a comparable role within a software company

• NV1 security clearance is required

• Proficiency in Linux/UNIX environments

• Familiarity with networking devices such as switches and routers

• Experience in firewall administration and configuration (Checkpoint, Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.)

• Background in working with Cloud platforms and managing Cloud Security

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English

• Capability to perform under pressure in time-sensitive situations and business emergencies

• Experience interacting with Global customers

• Customer-focused with the ability to build trust with clients

• A problem solver with a results-oriented mindset, demonstrating a proactive attitude and attention to detail

• A team player who is pleasant to work with, exhibiting a high level of integrity, and is a self-motivated learner

• Ability to identify and escalate signals for revenue-driving adoption or expansion

• Openness to travel up to 25% of the time, working on-site with AlgoSec customers in ANZ/SEA
