This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Grasp and empathize with users and their objectives.
β’ Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to formulate and validate research plans and hypotheses.
β’ Utilize both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including interviews, surveys, card sorting/tree testing, and usability assessments.
β’ Organize and conduct user interviews and usability tests.
β’ Evaluate research outcomes to generate actionable insights and work with designers to convert them into product features.
β’ Present research findings to product owners and stakeholders effectively.
β’ Mitigate uncertainty through comprehensive quantitative and qualitative research.
β’ Establish success metrics with the team to assess product performance post-launch.
β’ Clearly communicate or illustrate issues and guide the team towards feasible, viable, and highly usable solutions.
β’ Participate as a member of an agile software development team in cross-functional collaboration.
β’ Convert intricate policy documents into technical specifications.
β’ Contribute to the modernization of the CMS's Unified Case Management system, supporting the integrity efforts of Medicare and Medicaid programs.
β’ Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder; sponsorship is not available.
β’ Residency in the US for a minimum of the past 3 years is required.
β’ Must meet the criteria to obtain a Public Trust position, including successful completion of a US Government background check.
β’ Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of experience in service design, UX research, or human-centered design.
β’ Proven experience in conducting research with technical audiences and translating insights into product specifications.
β’ A case study or portfolio showcasing successful product design projects and demonstrating strong UX research capabilities.
β’ Prior experience in Civic Tech is a plus.
β’ Familiarity with Confluence and Jira is advantageous.
β’ Experience with CMS is an asset.
β’ Proficiency in Figma is desirable.
