This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Assess and analyze AI-generated responses to life sciences prompts for scientific validity, clarity, and relevance.

• Annotate and evaluate model outputs to support AI training and enhancement.

• Craft expert-level responses to scientific inquiries as training examples for the model.

• Identify errors, misconceptions, or unclear outputs and provide corrective guidance.

• Design and develop realistic research-based tasks, including scenarios, prompts, supporting input files, and comprehensive grading rubrics.

• Execute tasks against AI models and refine based on feedback from expert reviewers.

• Adhere to detailed written instructions, including specifications for document and upload formats.

• Ensure consistent quality and productivity throughout the sprint engagement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s or PhD (or current PhD candidate) in Biology or a closely related discipline.

• Over 3 years of practical experience in drug discovery, computational biology/bioinformatics, or experimental biology.

• Excellent written communication skills; ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and succinctly.

• Capable of working autonomously in a remote, self-directed setting.

• Quick to adapt to unfamiliar tasks when provided with written materials or instructions.

• Recent hands-on individual contributor experience, rather than solely managerial roles.

• Diligent in following written instructions and open to feedback and revision processes.

• Ability to navigate a company data package ranging from 100MB to 30GB+ and develop an accurate, comprehensive understanding swiftly.

• Basic technical literacy, including familiarity with cloud file tools, browser profiles, desktop application installation, and everyday file management.

• Availability for 30–40+ hours per week throughout the full 12-week engagement.

• General knowledge of LLM usage and the AI landscape.

• Professional experience with LLMs such as ChatGPT or Claude in life sciences contexts.

• Ability to discern well-reasoned answers from plausible-sounding but incorrect responses.
