Research Scientist – 5G Non-Terrestrial Networks, Satellite Communications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the research and development of 5G Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) and satellite communication systems.

• Design innovative concepts for communication systems.

• Analyze, simulate, and emulate current systems.

• Create prototypes.

• Manage national and international projects.

• Engage in international standardization efforts and expert committees.

• Prepare technical documentation and project proposals.

• Record and document achieved outcomes.

• Write scientific publications.

• Present findings at relevant international conferences and symposia.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Preferably, a specialization in networking or communication systems.

• In-depth knowledge of 5G Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) and/or satellite communications.

• Familiarity with data acquisition and data analysis techniques.

• Demonstrated programming expertise, especially in Python.

• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools and programming languages.

• Openness to travel for business nationally and internationally, particularly within Europe.

• A strong passion for technology and research.

• A proactive approach.

• A dependable and scientifically rigorous work ethic.

• Proficient written and spoken skills in both German and English.
