Research Nurse, Adult RN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Possess comprehensive knowledge of the trial protocol, Case Report Forms (CRFs/eCRF), off-site manual, supporting documentation, procedures, timelines, and relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Liaise effectively with the Illingworth research nurse project manager, Research nurse manager, site personnel, and Principal Investigator.

• Ensure precise documentation and electronic data transfer while upholding subject confidentiality, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and data protection regulations.

• Participate in Site Initiation Visits and other multidisciplinary, project management, and client-facing meetings as necessary.

• Organize and complete subject trial visits both on- and off-site in collaboration with the RN team.

• Confirm that trial procedures and assessments adhere to the protocol and SOPs, ensuring accurate data collection.

• Administer trial medications and oversee their secure storage, transfer, and accountability.

• Process, package safely, and dispatch samples while coordinating with courier services and organizations.

• Assist in identifying and recruiting eligible patients for clinical trials.

• Offer information and support to patients receiving care both on-site and off-site.

• Accurately document adverse events (AEs), serious adverse events (SAEs), and suspected unexpected serious adverse reactions (SUSARs), providing necessary follow-up support.

• Report any suspected misconduct or fraud to Illingworth and related entities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Registered nurse with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience.

• Experience in research and clinical trials with GCP certification.

• Familiarity with research design and methodology is desirable.

• Preferable experience and knowledge of clinical nursing skills such as venepuncture and ECG.

• Ability to work independently with initiative while being part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Proficient in computer software including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as a minimum requirement.

• Equivalent experience, skills, and/or educational background will also be taken into account.
