Research Assistant, Student Worker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist the Principal Investigator and research assistant with tasks related to grants.

• Identify and fulfill tasks that contribute to the project's success under the supervision of the PI.

• Work collaboratively with the PI and team members to determine tasks and devise operational strategies.

• Transcribe and code both qualitative and quantitative data.

• Conduct basic statistical analyses.

• Contribute intellectually to the processes and outcomes of the project.

• Support literature reviews for research and documents intended for publication.

• Complete necessary documentation and paperwork.

• Execute project tasks, including coding surveys and interviews, transcription, editing, analysis, and storage of participant data.

• Utilize LLMs to create automated tools for coding narratives.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred in cognitive science, psychology, biology, or similar fields.

• Preferred experience with methods in experimental psychology and mixed methodological research approaches, though not required.

• Experience in a technology-driven environment is preferred.

• Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative data analysis using NVivo, SPSS, or similar software.

• Skill in employing LLMs for complex research and analytical tasks.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Critical thinking and decision-making capabilities.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to deliver timely and accurate information on academically relevant topics to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Preferred experience in healthcare settings.

• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a diverse team in fast-paced environments with multiple deadlines and shifting priorities.

• Intermediate computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Experience with Student Information Systems such as SOAR/PeopleSoft.

• Must be an enrolled and attending student; eligible undergraduate or graduate students may work full-time or part-time.

• Must not exceed 1,000 hours of work per year in the student employee position.
