Research Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and oversee research datasets that facilitate research initiatives and preparatory activities.

• Compile data into comprehensive reports, tables, charts, and visual representations.

• Execute data quality evaluations and enhancements.

• Generate and update technical documentation pertaining to research data and associated processes.

• Collaborate with various OCHIN departments and partner research institutions.

• Operationalize variables and convert research inquiries into practical and analytical frameworks.

• Deliver technical and consultative support for research projects and networks.

• Assist in data extraction, manipulation, quality assurance, and integrity for research purposes.

• Create analytical datasets for one or more research studies.

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience working with healthcare data, including electronic health records or claims data is preferred.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience handling large datasets.

• At least 1 year of programming experience with data querying and/or statistical software; proficiency in SQL or SAS is preferred.

• Experience with complex relational databases is essential.

• Capability to read, write, and maintain SQL code effectively.

• Proficient in database querying and experienced in cleaning extensive, disorganized datasets.

• Familiarity or experience with Epic EHR or Clarity database is preferred.

• Understanding of community health centers and safety net healthcare is advantageous.

• Experience in health-related research is preferred.

• Proficient in reading, speaking, writing, and comprehending English.

• Ability to work independently and effectively from a home office setting.

• Access to high-speed internet service.

• Capacity to work in an environment free from distractions.

• Required COVID-19 vaccination or an approved medical or religious exemption prior to hiring.

• Willingness and ability to travel nationally, potentially up to 20%, for on-site Go-Live support.
