This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Contribute to revenue enhancement on the K-12 Revenue team by pursuing new business opportunities, expanding existing business, and facilitating renewals.

• Define tailored research projects and provide advisory support for K-12 prospects.

• Grasp and articulate Hanover’s comprehensive K-12 service offerings: Advisory, Digital, Custom, and ELC.

• Engage in Content and Revenue team meetings to foster effective communication.

• Prepare and review proposals, which include RFPs and Membership Action Plans.

• Foster urgency by managing project timelines and emphasizing content impact.

• Clarify Hanover’s methodologies, consultative support, and findings to prospective clients.

• Provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations to prospects and leadership.

• Collaborate with directors and associates to formulate revenue strategies.

• Identify internal enhancements to boost commercial efficiency and optimization.

• Draft, review, and refine marketing materials.

• Maintain the K-12 Project Description Library and Advisory Description Library.

• Design and facilitate internal training sessions.

• Work with Content leadership on new offerings and project updates.

• Develop scripts and scoping guides for Revenue teams.

• Recognize trends and recently delivered member reports for redaction purposes.

• Report directly to the Senior Research Advisor.


⛳️ Requirements

• Excellent communication skills, in-depth knowledge of research methodologies, project management expertise, and K-12 education proficiency.

• Highly motivated candidates with research experience, practical K-12 knowledge, commercial interests, and strong communication abilities.

• Willingness to travel domestically up to three (3) times per quarter.

• Extensive understanding of K-12 education, including current trends and challenges.

• Strong grasp of methodologies, research processes, and the practical landscape of K-12 education.

• Exceptional communication skills adaptable to one-on-one interactions, formal presentations, and external call engagements.

• Highly responsive to both internal and external demands to leverage commercial urgency.

• Ability to translate objectives, challenges, and initiatives into a clearly defined and sequenced research and/or advisory plan.

• Commitment to work closely with prospective clients, ensuring their satisfaction and retention.

• Capacity to perform under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

• Ability to identify issues or areas for improvement, devise a plan of action, and implement it effectively.

• Proven capacity to make swift and informed decisions.

• Strong problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Demonstrated work ethic, particularly in a collaborative setting.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.

• A terminal or Master’s degree in Education, Business, Economics, Psychology, Political Science, Sociology, or a related field is preferred; candidates with relevant experience lacking a terminal degree or possessing alternative degrees will be considered.

• A minimum of 5–10 years of full-time experience in research, consulting, or professional writing.

• At least one year of experience in a management role.
