This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise and coordinate daily research administration activities.
• Provide assistance to faculty, center directors, and staff during pre-award sponsored-project processes.
• Prepare and submit intricate grant proposals, budgets, justifications, agency forms, and compliance documentation.
• Manage proposal submissions, including signatures, subaward setups, contracts, and subcontracts.
• Oversee notices of award, grant databases, annual agency reports, revised budgets, and grant transfers.
• Organize research compliance information, encompassing biosketches, trainee information, and approvals for human/animal protocols.
• Evaluate grant metrics and funding trends.
• Close complex sponsored-project accounts and submit final reports along with invention statements.
• Monitor sponsored-project budgets, expenditures, reconciliations, payroll sourcing, cost transfers, purchasing, and subawards.
• Draft correspondence with granting agencies, financial reports, invoices, budget adjustments, and fund-management documentation.
• Collaborate with faculty, PIs, department administrators, SPA, OSRS, leadership, and granting agencies.
• Oversee research center cores and subcores, program income, bridge/seed funds, and institutional funds.
• Design and implement reporting databases for core/subcore service billing.
• Generate center financial reports, invoices, forecasts, and progress/renewal materials.
• Organize center lectures, scientific forums, workshops, meetings, and symposiums.
• Assist senior leadership with special projects and carry out other assigned tasks.
• Bachelor’s degree, or a combination of education and/or experience that meets minimum educational requirements.
• 4 years of relevant experience.
• 2 years of experience in grants administration.
• Familiarity with S2S and SUBS systems is preferred.
• Understanding of agency guidelines is preferred.
• No specific certification or professional license is required.
• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong analytical thinking skills.
• Experience with computerized accounting.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Ability to manage deadlines effectively.
• Knowledge of grant administration.
• Experience with IBM Cognos Analytics.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and systems.
• Ability to maintain composure in various situations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Strong oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance.
• Experience in supervisory management.
• Familiarity with Workday software.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Capable of performing essential functions satisfactorily.
