This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee and manage the Avantra platform, which includes installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and providing environmental support across all landscapes.
• Handle user provisioning, authentication, permissions, and access controls.
• Set up and support SAP monitoring, which encompasses system health, performance evaluations, background job monitoring, alerting, and automation policies.
• Monitor the performance and availability of Avantra, including logs, alerts, and automation jobs; troubleshoot issues and coordinate resolutions.
• Maintain connectors, service accounts, agents, credentials, and secure access methods across both SAP and non-SAP landscapes.
• Develop and enforce governance standards regarding monitoring templates, alert thresholds, naming conventions, documentation, credential management, and version control.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams on audit, backup, recovery, compliance, and continuity requirements.
• Assist in the migration of monitoring and automation configurations across development, testing, and production environments.
• Create and update operational procedures, runbooks, support guides, and technical documentation.
• Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 support for Avantra incidents, service requests, and problem management.
• Aid in license administration and usage tracking.
• Work in conjunction with SAP Basis, infrastructure, and application teams to address monitoring deficiencies, alerting problems, performance issues, and platform execution challenges.
• Suggest enhancements for scalability, reliability, automation maturity, and operational visibility.
• Engage in release planning, testing, and change management.
• Support audit, reporting, and governance initiatives.
• Deliver training for end-users and administrators.
• Collaborate within Agile delivery teams on backlog refinement, sprint planning, testing, and platform enhancement projects.
• Must possess an active U.S. DoD Secret Clearance.
• Capable of meeting DoD 8140 requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting enterprise monitoring platforms, SAP operations, or business systems administration.
• Experience with administering Avantra or a similar enterprise SAP monitoring/automation platform.
• Solid understanding of server configuration and maintenance.
• Strong grasp of user/security administration.
• Thorough understanding of monitoring, scheduling, and alert management.
• Proficient in troubleshooting performance issues, job failures, and alerting gaps.
• Knowledgeable in relational databases and SQL.
• Experience in integrating enterprise monitoring tools with SAP and associated operational support systems.
• Familiar with authentication and identity technologies (Okta, Active Directory, SSO, etc.).
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively across both technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience in supporting SAP landscapes in collaboration with SAP Basis, infrastructure, and application teams.
