Requirements Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conduct interviews with users during the planning phase of the software development lifecycle to capture desired software outcomes.

• Formally document the agreed-upon capabilities as determined by users and present them to software developers.

• Identify operational and application requirements for standard system functions and error handling processes.

• Prioritize system requirements in a software requirements specification document.

• Create documentation for use cases, software user objectives, and non-functional requirements.

• Develop graphic models, mathematical equations, or storyboards to illustrate system requirements.

• Communicate with project stakeholders regarding test outcomes and modifications to end-product requirements.

• Serve as the main liaison between the customer and the development team throughout the project lifecycle.

• Ensure that requirements align with the needs of end users and that developed capabilities meet these requirements.

• Engage in peer reviews of requirements, system design, code, and test cases.

• Create a requirements management plan that includes a change control process.

• Monitor individual requirements from the baseline through to the final verification of functionality after software development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must have a Moderate Risk, Confidential, Non-Critical Sensitive, Tier 3/NACLC/ANACI investigation.

• U.S. Citizenship is required.

• A clear criminal history check is mandatory.

• No recent or pending bankruptcies are acceptable.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience is necessary.

• A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree is required.

• Proven experience in interviewing users to identify desired software outcomes.

• Experience in formally documenting capabilities agreed upon by users and presenting them to software developers is essential.

• Familiarity with identifying operational and application requirements, including standard system functionalities and error handling, is required.

• Experience in identifying and prioritizing system requirements is necessary.

• Proficiency in documenting requirements in a software requirements specification is required.

• Experience in documenting use cases, software user goals, and non-functional requirements, including quality standards and design limitations, is essential.

• Experience in creating graphic models, mathematical equations, or storyboards to document system requirements is needed.

• Ability to communicate effectively with project stakeholders regarding test results and modifications to end-product requirements is essential.

• Experience as the primary intermediary between the customer and the development team throughout a project’s lifecycle is necessary.

• Proven track record of confirming that requirements reflect end users’ needs and that the capability being developed aligns with these requirements.

• Experience in participating in peer reviews to validate requirements is required.

• Familiarity with reviewing system design, code, and test cases to ensure compliance with documented requirements is necessary.

• Experience in developing a requirements management plan that includes a change control process is essential.

• Ability to track individual requirements from baseline to final verification of functionality following software development is required.
