This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Market and sell VWR solutions to clients within designated market segments.
• Oversee a territory comprising numerous customers from various sectors.
• Identify and acquire new customers by managing a sales pipeline and crafting value-proposition proposals.
• Employ a consultative sales approach by detailing product offerings, assessing customer needs, and recommending appropriate Avantor solutions.
• Collaborate with sales management to create strategic business plans for the territory aimed at achieving sales growth and meeting quotas.
• Develop proposals and execute sales strategies to drive sales growth.
• Cultivate and maintain customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
• Manage VWR’s product portfolio while implementing company sales and marketing strategies.
• Formulate customer retention strategies in response to changing customer needs.
• Utilize company resources to execute marketing plans, strategies, and sales processes.
• Represent Avantor and foster strong relationships with manufacturers.
• Collaborate with local manufacturer representatives to enhance product knowledge, secure favorable pricing, and boost account profitability.
• Travel across the United States for annual sales conferences and occasional training sessions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in a complex sales environment involving multiple decision-makers and solution-oriented selling.
• Demonstrated and verifiable sales success in driving growth through a consultative and strategic selling approach.
• Experience in business-to-business sales.
• Preferred experience in distribution.
• A scientific background and/or experience in a laboratory or research environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with technology platforms such as SAP C4C and Qliksense.
• Preferred background in science or manufacturing research.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Capability to engage in business discussions with owners and decision-makers.
• Proficiency in managing challenging situations and interactions.
• Ability to work autonomously and effectively manage time and territory.
• Excellent analytical skills with the capacity to sell strategically within an account.
• Understanding of individual customer operations.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations.
• Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
