This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

• Create original and exclusive story concepts on a daily basis

• Develop and sustain a robust network of sources across various sectors

• Conduct interviews, research, and investigations to reveal exclusive stories

• Produce compelling, accurate, and legally compliant content under tight deadlines

• Report on breaking news across politics, crime, entertainment, lifestyle, business, human interest, and trending subjects

• Monitor evolving news, court documents, public records, social media, and industry connections for emerging stories

• Collaborate effectively with editors, photographers, video teams, and social media producers

• Travel for reporting assignments as necessary

• Ensure all reporting adheres to the highest editorial, legal, and ethical standards

• Contribute to follow-up reporting, enterprise features, and long-term investigative projects

• At least five years of experience as a Reporter in a newspaper, broadcast, or digital newsroom, recognized as a ‘Star’

• Proven history of publishing exclusive, agenda-setting stories

• Ability to produce engaging and intelligent content under tight deadlines

• Capacity to generate captivating story ideas following news events or through enterprise reporting

• Strong enthusiasm for the DailyMail.com brand, its editorial voice, and global readership

• Exceptional reporting, interviewing, and writing abilities

• Solid understanding of sourcing, verification, and fact-checking processes

• Skill in working swiftly while ensuring outstanding accuracy

• Experience covering breaking news in a dynamic newsroom

• Excellent news judgment and editorial instincts

• Comfortable managing multiple stories and competing deadlines

• Knowledge of media law, ethics, and editorial standards

• A well-established network of sources on the West Coast

• Good understanding of Hollywood, statewide politics, and other California issues and their impact on the broader country

• Experience in obtaining public records and handling legal documents is a plus

• Multimedia, video, podcast, or social media reporting expertise is advantageous
