📋 Description

• Quickly and accurately report on breaking air travel news, then follow up as developments occur.

• Verify information with primary sources, including airlines and relevant agencies.

• Conduct interviews with industry contacts, experts, and impacted travelers.

• Incorporate original reporting into every article.

• Monitor article performance and leverage findings to enhance future work.

• Adhere to TheTravel's Editorial Guidelines.

• Collaborate with the Lead Editor to swiftly implement feedback.

• Meet stringent deadlines and consistently submit work.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of news reporting experience, preferably in travel, airlines, or aviation, or relevant professional experience within the airline or aviation sector (e.g., operations, dispatch, airport operations).

• In-depth understanding of the functioning of airlines, airports, and air travel regulations.

• Demonstrated reporting capabilities: sourcing, interviewing, and fact-checking.

• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.

• Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Knowledge of SEO and experience with a CMS is advantageous.

• A CV is required.

• A cover letter is necessary.

• At least one sample article that reflects content similar to that published on TheTravel is required.

• A writing assessment may be requested as part of the application process.
