Online News Producer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee the SFChronicle.com homepage and section pages, combining astute news judgment and writing expertise with real-time analytics.

• Assist in managing social media profiles, issuing breaking news alerts, and executing newsletter campaigns to enhance story engagement.

• Collaborate with digital project managers, editors, and writers to create innovative packages and explore new storytelling methods.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

• Strong social media proficiency.

• Knowledge of media ethics.

• Familiarity with analytics platforms such as Marfeel or Google Analytics.

• This role is part-time, requiring 24-30 hours per week.

• The schedule will include early morning shifts starting at 6 a.m. PT, one weekend shift, and the potential for some evening shifts based on staffing requirements.
