This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee release schedules across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Ensure that code promotion adheres to controlled workflows, validation procedures, and documented approvals.
• Maintain version control practices, environment tagging, and build traceability for all releases.
• Supervise build documentation, deployment notes, feature listings, and risk registers for each release cycle.
• Collaborate with development, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, and testing teams to confirm readiness for deployment.
• Facilitate reviews for release readiness, make go/no-go decisions, and promote cross-team communication.
• Ensure that release actions are in compliance with ITIL practices, including change, release, and configuration management.
• Maintain records related to the CMDB and configuration documentation to accurately reflect environment states.
• Coordinate hotfixes, emergency releases, and rollback procedures as necessary.
• Track defects, deployment issues, and post-release performance to ensure that lessons learned are documented.
• Support enhancements in automation for deployment pipelines and environment configuration.
• Maintain release calendars, reporting dashboards, and documentation for government stakeholders.
• An active Secret clearance is required, supported by a Tier 3 background investigation.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, IT Management, or a related field is necessary.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in release management, configuration management, DevSecOps support, or enterprise IT operations is required.
• Experience in coordinating releases across various environments (DEV, TEST, STAGE, PROD) is essential.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based processes, including release, change, and configuration management, is expected.
• Experience in maintaining version control systems and supporting deployment workflows is required.
• Proven experience in collaborating with development, QA, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams is essential.
• Strong knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and branching strategies is necessary.
• Understanding of build processes, deployment pipelines, and environment validation is important.
• Familiarity with ITIL v4 processes and best practices in release management is preferred.
• Knowledge of configuration documentation, CMDB record maintenance, and asset tracking is required.
• ITIL v4 Foundation certification is necessary.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and automated deployment pipelines is expected.
• Familiarity with cloud-based hosting environments or container orchestration is a plus.
• Understanding of CMS deployment considerations, template updates, or integration releases is advantageous.
• Preferred certifications include Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), and PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI ACP).
• Strong coordination and communication skills for managing multi-team release processes are essential.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and discipline in version tracking are required.
• Ability to manage complex release schedules and competing priorities is crucial.
• Strong analytical skills for diagnosing deployment issues and evaluating release risk are important.
