This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more countries.
β’ Develop realistic scenarios that encompass treaty and facultative reinsurance, attachment and exhaustion, cessions, recoverables, bordereaux, delegated authority, program governance, fronting, captives, and risk participation.
β’ Construct structure comparisons, submission analyses, contract summaries, program reviews, counterparty assessments, and recommendations for risk transfer.
β’ Compose βgoldenβ reference responses that meet the quality standards of experienced reinsurance and program business.
β’ Evaluate AI-generated responses for structural accuracy, contract logic, financial comprehension, stakeholder roles, and market realism.
β’ Recognize misconceptions related to layers, limits, retentions, commissions, claims control, collateral, counterparty exposure, and carrier-MGA responsibilities.
β’ Offer written feedback to the research team to enhance model performance.
β’ Engage in onboarding office hours and calibration sessions.
β’ Contribute to projects focused on training and improving frontier AI models for Mercor and its partner AI lab.
β’ Over 2 years of professional experience in reinsurance, program business, delegated authority, fronting, captive insurance, or alternative risk transfer.
β’ Familiarity with at least one of the following: treaty reinsurance, facultative reinsurance, MGA/MGU programs, Lloyd's arrangements, captives, or fronted programs.
β’ Capability to identify the economic and operational responsibilities of cedents, reinsurers, brokers, MGAs, fronting carriers, and insured parties.
β’ Comprehension of how contract structure impacts risk transfer, earnings, collateral, claims handling, and reporting.
β’ Exceptional written reasoning, commercial judgment, and a keen attention to detail.
β’ Proficiency in distinguishing reinsurance decisions from direct underwriting and standard claim adjudication.
β’ CPCU, ARe, ARM, ACAS, FCAS, or a similar designation is considered a bonus qualification.
β’ Experience in both ceded and assumed reinsurance is regarded as a bonus qualification.
β’ Background in reinsurance broking, treaty wording, recoverables, or claims is seen as a bonus qualification.
β’ Program audit, delegated-authority, or bordereaux-management experience is acknowledged as a bonus qualification.
β’ Experience with captive, large-deductible, retrospective-rating, or risk-sharing is considered a bonus qualification.
β’ Must be capable of working as an independent contractor.
β’ Minimum availability of 20 hours per week, ideally 40+ hours.
β’ H1-B and STEM OPT candidates will not be supported.
β’ $800 flat payment upon successful completion of onboarding.
β’ Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
