Reinsurance Operations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Analyze and interpret the terms of reinsurance contracts to ensure clarity and compliance.

• Enter, update, and validate contract information within the company's system.

• Maintain detailed contract records and status updates throughout the lifecycle of contracts.

• Ensure accurate and consistent data labeling while preserving a clear audit trail for risk data.

• Review claim coverage and treaty/risk limits, processing relevant data alongside Technical Accounting and Claims.

• Verify and handle claim settlement requests as well as claim-related administrative requests from cedents.

• Identify and investigate data discrepancies or account issues, collaborating with internal teams and business partners for resolution.

• Conduct regular data reviews and updates based on quality control reports and internal standards.

• Manage, extract, review, and cleanse data from various sources and repositories.

• Provide risk administration support to Reinsurance Brokers and business partners, including ad hoc data analysis and report generation.

• Deliver timely and accurate responses to internal inquiries.

• Contribute to the enhancement of internal processes, placement documentation, and technical delivery standards.

• Increase efficiency, ensure compliance, and implement operational or regulatory changes in processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Demonstrated experience in the insurance industry, with at least 3 years in reinsurance.

• In-depth knowledge of reinsurance structures and terminology, especially regarding brokered placements.

• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements, including sanctions and reporting obligations.

• Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with a keen attention to detail.

• Highly organized, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high productivity.

• Adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.

• Open-minded and solutions-oriented, focused on providing best-in-class service.

• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team player.

• Proven ability to build and sustain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

• Customer-centric mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace applications.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
