Reinsurance Claims Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist clients with reinsurance claims processes across various projects.

• Evaluate client submissions for accuracy against contract terms and confirm coverage.

• Verify that all necessary supporting documentation has been acquired.

• Enter claims individually or via bordereau reporting into the claims system.

• Conduct thorough claims analysis.

• Reconcile claims balances from inception to date.

• Monitor aggregate deductibles and/or reinstatement premium calculations as necessary.

• Generate reports and analyze data to effectively manage the claims portfolio.

• Provide support to finance and accounting teams with data requirements as requested.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess reinsurance experience in Property and Casualty lines of insurance.

• Familiarity with treaties/bordereau and a solid understanding of contract language.

• Candidates must live in the 48 contiguous United States.

• Visa sponsorship will not be provided, now or in the future.

• A college degree in business/accounting/related field or equivalent work experience is required.

• 1-2 years of experience in reinsurance claims management, including processing, coverage confirmation, reporting, and/or claims auditing is necessary.

• Experience with ceded claims is advantageous.

• Strong preference for candidates with Property & Casualty and/or Marine experience.

• Capability to read and comprehend reinsurance contracts and apply contract terms to submitted losses.

• Basic accounting skills are required.

• Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, and database management tools is essential.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must.
