Reimbursement Specialist I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +26 more states.

📋 Description

• Adhere to established operating procedures to secure and manage manufacturer copay assistance program reimbursements.

• Track claims activity to ensure accuracy and successful submissions.

• Confirm that patient billing information is correctly configured within pharmacy software.

• Engage in conferences and meetings pertinent to reimbursement and billing matters.

• Address inquiries or concerns from employees, patients, and clients regarding reimbursement and billing processes.

• Collaborate with internal teams to investigate and resolve claim-related issues.

• Maintain precise reference materials related to reimbursement and copay assistance.

• Accurately document information, insurance details, and prescriptions/orders within patient profiles.

• Adhere to relevant federal and state regulations and uphold ethical standards.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required.

• Some college education is preferred.

• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is preferred.

• A pharmacy technician license or pharmacy technician trainee license is highly preferred in states where such licensure is mandated.

• Experience with pharmacy operations, health plan or clinical insurance claims billing, benefit assessments, billing/claims documentation, or claims auditing is desirable.

• Actively participate in, comply with, and support compliance program goals.

• Ability to consistently engage cooperatively and respectfully with fellow employees.
