Reimbursement Analyst, Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Prepare Medicare/Medicaid and other Third Party Cost Reports

• Enhance cash flow through interim rates and final settlements

• Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans

• Oversee, implement, assess, and modify care plans as necessary

• Execute authorized nursing tasks in accordance with established nursing standards

• Deliver care, counseling, health education, and promotion utilizing the Teach Back method

• Administer medications, intravenous therapy, and treatments as directed by a licensed independent practitioner (LIP)

• Supervise, delegate, and ensure follow-through with staff carrying out nursing care tasks

• Mentor and guide students and orient new employees as required

• Communicate relevant information through the appropriate channels

• Engage in teams, committees, and initiatives aimed at performance improvement

• Maintain a safe and secure environment

• Contribute to discharge planning and care transitions

• Advocate for patients and raise concerns when necessary

• Record significant findings in medical documentation

• Assist patients in performing daily living activities

• Foster the professional development of staff

• Employ effective communication, active listening, and compassionate, empathetic practices

• Implement SBAR handoffs and bedside shift reporting

• Act as a positive influence and role model while maintaining professional conduct

• Uphold patient dignity and confidentiality

• Carry out additional duties as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in accounting

• At least 2 years of experience in preparing Medicare/Medicaid cost reports
