Rehabilitation Service Specialist – RSS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Assess the necessary rehabilitation evaluations to further understand Participants’ potential for improvement and define their rehabilitation needs.

• Organize rehabilitation evaluations and services as needed.

• Ensure that services and plans are tailored to individual needs, focused on goals, compliant with program mandates, safe, cost-effective, and of high quality.

• Create comprehensive Rehabilitation Plans in collaboration with Participants, their family/caregiver, Rehabilitation Service Professionals, and Veterans Affairs Canada Case Managers.

• Serve as the service integrator, working alongside medical, psycho-social, and vocational Rehabilitation Service Professionals.

• Empower Participants to address challenges by identifying community-based interventions and resources.

• Recognize barriers or risk factors that may lead to less than optimal outcomes.

• Proactively devise and implement strategies aimed at enhancing outcomes.

• Travel infrequently across Western Canada as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, Rehabilitation, Social Sciences, Health Services, Human Services, or a related discipline.

• A health professional designation or Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professional (CVRP or a CVRP-F).

• At least 3 years of experience in delivering medical, psycho-social, or vocational rehabilitation services, or a combination of these.

• Experience in working with individuals facing mental or physical health challenges that create obstacles in life.

• Employment is contingent upon obtaining federal security clearance – Reliability Status.

• Willingness to travel within the region as required.

• Bilingual proficiency (French/English) is considered an asset.

• Preferred experience collaborating with employers, community resources, and training institutions.
