This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Analyze and process public comments on proposed federal regulations under the guidance of a lead regulatory analyst.

• Create concise summaries and maintain a comprehensive, traceable record of issues, recommendations, and supporting evidence.

• Provide technical expertise and assist with the integration and consolidation of networks across various environments.

• Download and systematically organize authorized public-comment records and attachments, ensuring preservation of source identifiers and original materials.

• Reconcile intake totals and identify missing, unreadable, duplicate, or inconsistent records for resolution.

• Apply designated issue categories and pinpoint comments that address multiple issues while maintaining source relationships.

• Differentiate between form-letter families, unique submissions, and substantive additions in accordance with the approved methodology.

• Prepare impartial summaries of positions, recommendations, and evidence; escalate ambiguous or high-risk material.

• Review AI-generated classifications and summaries against the original submissions for accuracy.

• Maintain mappings between comments and issues, along with quantitative tables and entries in key issues matrices, ensuring clear review status.

• Generate accessible Word and Excel documents and facilitate peer reviews, corrections, weekly meetings, and delivery tracking.

• Assist with authorized publication processes following necessary reviews and approvals.

• Safeguard nonpublic information.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years of related experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience (Four (4) years).

• Familiarity with federal notice-and-comment rulemaking.

• Experience in reading, organizing, summarizing, and analyzing public comments or similar regulatory records.

• Knowledge of the Administrative Procedure Act.

• Familiarity with FDMS.

• Understanding of federal style guidance and accessibility standards.

• Strong proficiency in written and spoken English.

• Keen attention to detail.

• Proficiency in spreadsheet applications.

• Capability to manage competing deadlines.

• Willingness and ability to sit, bend, reach, stoop, squat, stand, and walk.

• Exceptional customer service skills, both over the phone and in face-to-face interactions.

• Excellent command of written and oral English.
