This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Process and evaluate public comments on proposed federal regulations under the supervision of a lead regulatory analyst.

• Create concise summaries and maintain a comprehensive, traceable record of issues, recommendations, and supporting documentation.

• Offer technical expertise and assist with network integration and consolidation initiatives across various network environments.

• Download and organize authorized public-comment records and attachments while ensuring the preservation of source identifiers and original materials.

• Reconcile intake totals and identify any missing, unreadable, duplicate, or inconsistent records for resolution.

• Apply sanctioned issue categories and identify comments that address multiple issues without losing source relationships.

• Differentiate between form-letter families, unique submissions, and substantive additions according to the established methodology.

• Prepare neutral summaries of positions, recommendations, and evidence; escalate ambiguous or high-risk materials.

• Verify AI-generated classifications and summaries against original submissions.

• Maintain mappings from comments to issues, quantitative tables, and key issues matrix entries with clear review status.

• Create accessible work products in Word and Excel.

• Assist with peer review, corrections, weekly meetings, and tracking of deliveries.

• Support authorized publication workflows following necessary review and approval.

• Safeguard nonpublic information.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience (Four (4) years).

• Proficient understanding of federal notice-and-comment rulemaking.

• Experience in reading, organizing, summarizing, and analyzing public comments or similar regulatory records.

• Familiarity with the Administrative Procedure Act.

• Knowledge of FDMS.

• Awareness of federal style guidelines and accessibility standards.

• Strong proficiency in written and spoken English.

• Keen attention to detail.

• Proficiency in spreadsheets.

• Capability to manage competing deadlines.

• Willingness and ability to sit, bend, reach, stoop, squat, stand, and walk.

• Excellent customer service skills through phone and face-to-face interactions.

• Exceptional command of written and oral English.
