Regulatory Affairs & Product Compliance Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the preparation and submission of compliance documentation for regulated consumer product categories.

• Gather, evaluate, and maintain documentation from suppliers, including test reports, certificates, declarations of conformity, and technical files.

• Collaborate with external laboratories, certification agencies, customs brokers, and other regulatory partners.

• Monitor testing schedules, certification timelines, product approvals, and outstanding compliance obligations.

• Work alongside Buying, Merchandise Planning, Logistics, and Store Operations to integrate regulatory requirements into product launch timelines.

• Keep track of compliance records and ensure all documentation is accurate and well-organized.

• Assist in identifying compliance risks and resolving issues with both internal and external partners.

• Generate compliance status reports and provide updates to management on milestones and pending actions.

• Remain updated on Canadian regulatory requirements that impact imported consumer products.

• Support initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in Regulatory Affairs, Product Compliance, Quality Assurance, Import Compliance, or a similar role within consumer products.

• Exceptional organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.

• Capability to manage multiple projects at once.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Knowledge of French is considered an asset.

• Preferred experience with imported consumer products such as toys, household goods, textiles, seasonal merchandise, or other retail items.

• Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external business partners.

• Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive, customer-focused mindset.

• Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented retail environment.
