Associate Director, Compliance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of Compliance Monitoring and Testing programs, processes, test scripts, and reporting protocols.

• Conduct secondary quality assurance audits on Compliance Monitoring and Testing outcomes.

• Partner with Compliance leadership and business stakeholders to set performance goals, assess program metrics, and execute strategic initiatives.

• Act as the main contact for operational compliance issues across all lending channels.

• Provide timely, actionable regulatory guidance while addressing complex compliance issues.

• Manage regulatory examination and audit file requests, including the gathering, validation, and submission of necessary loan files.

• Assist in the oversight and execution of Branch Audit activities.

• Organize audit deliverables, escalate findings, and implement corrective actions.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by Compliance leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and pertinent professional experience.

• Over 5 years of experience within a financial institution, ideally in a large or complex organization.

• At least 3 years of experience in risk management or consumer compliance, particularly concerning mortgage originations.

• Familiarity with ACES, Encompass, and Jira is preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of loan operations, encompassing processing, underwriting, closing, and quality assurance.

• Established understanding of federal and state mortgage lending laws and regulations, including Dodd-Frank, RESPA, TILA, TRID, ECOA, HMDA, GLBA, Fair Lending, UDAAP, and the SAFE Act.

• Advanced skills in regulatory interpretation, compliance risk assessment, and evaluation of regulatory requirements pertaining to mortgage lending operations.

• Outstanding communication, management, and leadership abilities.
