This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Assist staff and stakeholders with the registries throughout the processes of GHG project listing, validation/verification, credit issuance, and transactions.
• Evaluate project data and documentation for precision and completeness prior to the issuance of credits.
• Review applications from new registry participants, conduct KYC checks, and offer onboarding support.
• Respond to inquiries from registry participants, stakeholders, and market participants.
• Monitor program developments, new methodologies, and the approval status of Validation/Verification Bodies.
• Enhance registry services and refine standard operating procedures.
• Maintain and revise ACR policy documents and templates.
• Create analyses, reports, presentations, and outreach materials.
• Acquire knowledge, test, troubleshoot, and instruct others on the functionality of the registry system.
• Compose and/or review system specifications for infrastructure improvements.
• Lead interactions with registry service providers for ACR, ART, and STEPS.
• Oversee registry datasets.
• Mentor junior staff members.
• Perform additional assigned tasks.
• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• A minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience is required.
• Relevant background in environmental markets, customer support, database management, and systems organization.
• Proficiency in the entire MS Office suite is essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and systems thinking capabilities.
• Proven project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks and partners, meet deadlines, and report on progress.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to scrutinize datasets and documents, providing meaningful feedback.
• High standards of client service and prompt responses to partners.
• Integrity, trustworthiness, and a diplomatic approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within teams.
• Commitment to Winrock’s mission and an interest in market-based strategies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
• Comfortable in a flexible, fast-paced work environment.
• Must possess work authorization in the United States; sponsorship is not available.
• Must be willing to travel domestically 1–3 times a year for short-term assignments.
