This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +24 more states.
• Deliver telephonic clinical evaluations, health education, and utilization management services.
• Perform triage assessments utilizing telecommunications, computer-based algorithms, protocols, and guidelines.
• Employ the nursing process to recognize patient care needs, risks, safety concerns, educational opportunities, and suitable healthcare referrals.
• Manage calls in accordance with Quality Management protocols.
• Achieve product-specific performance metrics.
• Evaluate, disposition, make care recommendations, and disseminate education and health information.
• Implement nursing standards, company policies, and shared principles during clinical evaluations.
• Ensure consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Commit to four weekend shifts each month, either every Saturday or every other weekend.
• Work evening schedules, including at least two weekend days every two weeks.
• Complete 2–4 weeks of virtual interactive classroom training, with the first two weeks occurring during daytime hours.
• Execute additional duties as assigned.
• Active, unrestricted RN licensure in a compact state that is the state of residence.
• Must reside within a compact state and maintain a compact multistate license.
• Current home state RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of an associate degree from a two-year college or technical school or Diploma Nursing Program; BSN is preferred.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Capacity to obtain licensure in additional states as necessary.
• Must currently reside and possess a Multi-State (compact) unrestricted RN license in AL, AR, CO, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MS, MO, MT, NE, NM, NC, ND, NH, OK, SC, SD, TN, TX, VA, WI, or WY.
• RN must attend training for 100% of the scheduled hours and pass intra-training testing components.
• RNs must maintain the required number of CEU credits annually to uphold all assigned licenses.
• Capability to apply clinical knowledge to fulfill clinical business standards.
• Proficiency in running multiple computer programs concurrently.
• Ability to determine when to escalate issues appropriately and in a timely manner.
• Strong communication skills, including listening, reflection, and clarification.
• Experience in telephone triage and understanding of health benefit plans and the insurance industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.
