Registered Nurse – RN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +24 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver high-quality telephonic clinical assessments, health education, and utilization management services.

• Conduct triage assessments for individuals or specific patient populations utilizing telecommunications, computer algorithms, protocols, and guidelines.

• Employ critical thinking, multitasking abilities, and clinical expertise to evaluate and manage patient care.

• Offer care recommendations and provide educational health information.

• Execute nursing assessments in accordance with the Nursing Process and the standards set by the state Nurse Practice Act.

• Identify patient care requirements, risk and safety concerns, educational opportunities, and suitable healthcare referrals.

• Process calls following Quality Management guidelines.

• Achieve product-specific performance metrics.

• Report to the Clinical Services team.

• Participate in virtual, interactive classroom training for 2–4 weeks, with the initial two weeks scheduled during daytime hours.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a current, unrestricted RN licensure in a compact state that is the state of residence.

• Must reside in a compact state and maintain a multistate compact license.

• Hold a current home state RN license in good standing.

• Have a minimum of an associate degree from a two-year college or technical school or a Diploma Nursing Program; a BSN is preferred.

• Accumulate at least 3 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.

• RNs must fulfill the required number of CEU credits annually for all active licenses.

• RN must attend all training hours and successfully complete intra-training testing requirements.

• Must currently live in and have a Multi-State (compact) unrestricted RN license in AL, AR, CO, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MS, MO, MT, NE, NM, NC, ND, NH, OK, SC, SD, TN, TX, VA, WI, or WY.

• Capability to obtain licensure in additional states as necessary.

• Ability to apply clinical knowledge to achieve clinical business standards.

• Proficiency in running multiple computer programs simultaneously.

• Competence in recognizing when to escalate issues appropriately and promptly.

• Strong communication skills, including listening, reflection, and clarification.

• Dependable attendance and punctuality.

• Must work 4 weekend shifts each month, either every Saturday or every other weekend.

• Evening schedule including at least two weekend days every two weeks.

• Home office must meet certification standards.

• Experience in ER, adult and pediatric care, Medical/Surgical, Home Health and Hospice, or other acute care areas is preferred.

• Telephone triage experience and familiarity with health benefit plans and the insurance sector is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Bilingual capabilities are a plus.
