Registered Nurse – Primary Care, Telephone Triage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Deliver primary care telephone triage services from a remote home setting

• Adhere to the designated Monday–Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, or work on a per diem basis

• Establish and maintain communication with the Manager and peers regarding critical matters

• Foster and maintain effective working relationships with UBCP colleagues and others involved in fulfilling responsibilities

• Uphold principles of cultural diversity, safety and security in physical environments, teamwork, and respect for others

• Carry out additional duties as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a valid Registered Nurse license in the State of California

• At least 2 years of full-time experience as a telephone triage Registered Nurse, or as a Registered Nurse in primary care, pediatric units, emergency departments, adult or pediatric urgent care, or nursing case management

• Familiarity with Schmidt-Thompson protocols is advantageous

• Strong computer skills

• Access to high-speed internet service

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to build and maintain courteous and cooperative relationships with patients, customers, and colleagues

• Willingness and capability to work with patients of diverse ages and needs

• Minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute

• Valid typing certificate obtained within the last 6 months demonstrating at least 45 net words per minute in a five-minute timed typing assessment
