This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
β’ Deliver nursing triage services and health advice to patients via phone and, when appropriate, in person.
β’ Evaluate patient acuity to ascertain the necessity for medical assistance.
β’ Provide results of diagnostic tests along with educational information.
β’ Ensure accurate, timely, and suitable communication through telephone and electronic messaging.
β’ Offer clinical guidance based on established protocols.
β’ Assess patients over the phone, documenting their complaints, symptoms, relevant history, pharmacy details, and contact information.
β’ Initiate and coordinate emergency medical treatment as required.
β’ Prioritize urgent calls and relay essential information to triage providers.
β’ Educate both patients and their families.
β’ Schedule or facilitate emergency appointments as needed.
β’ Coordinate patient care and requests across various departments, specialties, and locations.
β’ Assist in the orientation and training of new staff members.
β’ Document communications with patients and customers, responding promptly to their needs.
β’ Reinforce adherence to provider instructions and treatment plans.
β’ Clarify medical conditions to patients.
β’ Address patient concerns utilizing clinical protocols and service recovery methods.
β’ Complete and route patient documentation in a timely manner.
β’ Propose process improvements and solutions to enhance service delivery.
β’ Collaborate on care and services with external organizations, including insurers, home health agencies, and medical facilities.
β’ Graduation from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing (Required).
β’ Active Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania (Required).
β’ Basic Life Support Certification (Required).
β’ A minimum of 5 years of nursing experience (Required).
β’ Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
β’ Experience in ICU or Emergency Department preferred.
β’ Specialty certification preferred.
β’ Proficient in computer skills.
β’ Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Windows, and Teams.
β’ Availability to work day/evening shifts between 7:00 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. EST.
β’ Commitment to 36 scheduled hours per week.
β’ Participation in every other weekend rotation and holiday rotation.
