Registered Nurse, Lab

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Evaluate, review, and report on positive outpatient laboratory findings.

• Oversee results queues from all locations and report any delays in reporting or patient care.

• Clear laboratory queues of negative results.

• Engage with patients regarding positive results or treatment modifications in coordination with healthcare providers.

• Contact patients with results when necessary and send correspondence when patients cannot be reached by phone.

• Collaborate within the team of RNs to ensure prompt review and reporting of results and treatment modifications, with oversight from providers.

• Report communicable diseases to state health departments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in acute care and laboratory interpretation is strongly preferred.

• Ability to work effectively independently.

• Excellent conversational skills.

• Strong customer service abilities.

• Completion of a 2 or 4-year accredited nursing program.

• Required to be a Licensed Registered Professional Nurse or hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.

• License must be active in one of the following states: NY, IL, IN, MI, or PA.

• Capability to manage stress effectively and work under frequent deadlines and interruptions.

• Good visual and auditory acuity.

• Ability to use a keyboard and view computer screens for up to 90% of the shift.

• Ability to follow instructions and collaborate with others.

• Capable of performing specified physical activities and repetitive hand/wrist motions.

• Ability to lift, push, or pull objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
