Registered Nurse

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Provide and manage high-quality patient care by utilizing professional nursing education and skills in history taking, patient education, and follow-up.

• Offer after-hours support and be available to respond to patient inquiries on scheduled days.

• Accurately document each patient interaction during the on-call coverage period in a timely manner.

• Educate and counsel patients regarding post-procedure care, follow-up appointments, contraceptive options, and reproductive health.

• Share information concerning sexuality, contraception, sexually transmitted infections, sterilization, medical issues, abortion, and pregnancy alternatives.

• Follow Planned Parenthood's established orders, policies, and procedures.

• Seek appropriate supervisory resources whenever necessary.

• Maintain patient confidentiality and deliver exceptional customer service.

• Stay informed about PPFL Medical Standards and Guidelines, as well as relevant policies and procedures.

• Demonstrate dedication to Planned Parenthood's mission and workplace values.

• Respond to patient calls during coverage hours from 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a resident of Florida.

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse license in Florida, including Compact licensure.

• Completion of Level 2 background screening through Florida's Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse is required for employment.

• Strong understanding of and personal dedication to reproductive rights, along with the mission and responsibilities of Planned Parenthood.

• Exceptional organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.

• Commitment to efficiency and quality in all tasks.

• Comfortable discussing topics related to sexuality, contraception, sexually transmitted infections, and pregnancy options.

• Ability to identify and respond appropriately in sensitive situations.

• Capable of relating to and providing care for diverse populations and communities.

• Detail-oriented, conscientious, and cooperative.

• Reliable, stable, and accountable in performance.

• Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor.

• Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.

• Required to complete necessary training and keep updated knowledge to effectively fulfill the Registered Nurse responsibilities.
