This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the sales of Merit products within the South Region.
• Support Account Executives in identifying and fulfilling the needs of current and prospective clients.
• Recruit, train, and develop sales representatives while providing constructive feedback.
• Track both individual and team progress towards achieving sales targets.
• Offer insights to marketing and production teams to enhance product offerings and quality.
• Assess and recruit Account Executives, providing training on customer requirements, products, and sales techniques.
• Mentor sales representatives on effective sales presentations, productivity, training follow-ups, product and policy inquiries, pricing adjustments, and work planning.
• Address inquiries from Account Executives and clients regarding pricing, defective items, and product replacements.
• Report on individual and corporate advancements towards sales objectives.
• Formulate marketing strategies and assist representatives in their execution.
• Analyze reports to evaluate sales volume and profitability metrics.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, marketing, and other departments to address product quality and process issues.
• Compile performance and sales reports for management and sales teams.
• Assess customer satisfaction and pinpoint opportunities for product enhancement and problem prevention.
• Monitor competitor products and market share dynamics.
• Execute additional responsibilities as needed.
• Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Business, with a strong focus on marketing.
• At least seven years of experience as a sales manager leading a successful sales team, ideally within the medical device sector.
• Profound understanding of sales strategies and customer service practices.
• Capability to assess the effectiveness of sales presentations and enhance sales representatives' delivery.
• Comprehensive grasp of management principles, along with the ability to select, nurture, and manage a sales team.
• Ability to comprehend factors impacting long-term profitability and collaborate effectively to boost sales of medical products.
• Willingness to work extended hours and travel frequently.
• Proven knowledge of the medical manufacturing industry.
• Proficient in collaborating with manufacturing and marketing teams to refine products and processes.
• Skillful and tactful in interacting with a diverse range of individuals in a manufacturing setting.
• Exceptional record-keeping and reporting capabilities, including both oral and written communication.
• Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, particularly with spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and other relevant software applications.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs., writing, sitting, standing, bending, reading, and possessing visual, color, depth, and peripheral vision.
