Regional Sales Manager, South Central US

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee Lumascape operations in the designated regions of TX, NM, OK, KS, MO, and AR.

• Manage accounts for agencies, specifications, and public entities.

• Execute promotional initiatives to generate additional revenue.

• Cultivate business-to-business relationships and identify new market possibilities.

• Relay market trends, account details, competition insights, and sales progress to the North America Sales Director.

• Achieve and surpass annual sales objectives.

• Offer expertise and assistance related to luminaires, lighting applications, systems, and controls.

• Build relationships with agencies, specifiers, designers, distributors, contractors, and developers.

• Drive product demand and assist in meeting agency sales targets.

• Enhance key agency partnerships, pinpoint opportunities, and create profitable solutions.

• Suggest agency modifications and keep management informed of territorial events.

• Oversee major projects to boost product visibility and success.

• Travel throughout the territory to engage with agencies, specifiers, and influencers.

• Propose and participate in trade shows, promotional activities, industry organizations, and events.

• Contribute to product training initiatives and promotional events, including post-event ROI analysis.

• Collaborate with other departments on sales activities tailored to stakeholders.

• Manage CRM software and ensure accurate sales forecasting.

• Assist with field service and provide support.

• Control expenditures within budget and submit expense reimbursements promptly.

• Gather and present regional, competitive, and contractor pricing information for forecasting and reporting.

• Educate, coach, and mentor team members on market trends and sales strategies.

• Work with the North America Sales Director on role-specific responsibilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must reside in the Dallas, TX area.

• Bachelor’s degree in Lighting, Business Administration, Marketing, or Architecture is required.

• A minimum of ten years of progressive experience in professional sales or a technical support role is preferred.

• At least five years of experience in the spec lighting industry is preferred.

• Familiarity with selling, pricing, marketing, and distribution models in the industry is essential.

• Strong selling and presentation abilities.

• Capacity to achieve sales targets through annual marketing strategies and ongoing goal management.

• Ability to articulate and promote Lumascape products, and to conduct training and educational sessions.

• A solid commitment to customer service.

• Technical knowledge of both the company’s and competitors’ products.

• Capability to perform field service, troubleshoot systems, recommend solutions, and demonstrate product comparisons.

• Understanding of finance and budgeting processes.

• Proficiency in preparing budgets and managing expenses within set limits.

• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective internal and external working relationships.

• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English.

• Ability to leverage relationships and negotiate contracts effectively.

• Willingness to travel extensively, reside in a strategic location within the territory, and work flexible hours.

• Proficient computer skills including Windows programs, word processing, spreadsheets, and CRM applications.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and capability to drive as per company insurance standards.

• Must possess or be able to acquire a valid passport.

• Knowledge of consultative selling, agency representatives, distribution networks, specification processes, business management, and marketing strategies.

• Aptitude for teaching, coaching, mentoring, and facilitating training in both small and large groups.

• Goal-oriented with the ability to meet or exceed sales targets.

• Competence to lead, plan, and organize across assigned regions.

• Advanced-level product knowledge is preferred.

• Advanced coursework in business management, project management, IT skills, or related fields is preferred.

• Significant domestic and some international travel will be required.
