Regional Sales Manager – South Central US

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee Lumascape operations within designated regions, including TX, NM, OK, KS, MO, and AR

• Manage accounts for agencies, specifications, and public entities, implementing promotional strategies to drive additional revenue

• Cultivate and direct business-to-business relationships while identifying and exploring new market opportunities

• Relay market conditions, account details, competitive landscape, and sales updates to the North America Sales Director

• Achieve and surpass annual sales objectives

• Provide in-depth product knowledge and support related to luminaires, lighting applications, systems, and associated controls

• Foster relationships with agencies, specifiers, designers, distributors, contractors, and developers

• Generate product demand and assist agencies in achieving their sales targets

• Strengthen key agency partnerships, pinpoint opportunities, and develop profitable solutions

• Suggest agency modifications and keep management informed of territory developments

• Track significant projects to enhance product visibility and success

• Travel frequently throughout the territory to engage with agencies, specifiers, and influencers

• Propose and participate in trade shows, promotional events, industry associations, and functions

• Contribute to product training initiatives and promotional events, including post-event ROI evaluations

• Collaborate with other departments on sales activities tailored to specific stakeholders

• Utilize CRM software and maintain precise sales forecasts

• Provide assistance with field service and support activities

• Monitor expenditures within budgetary constraints and submit expense reimbursement requests promptly

• Gather and supply regional, competitive, and contractor pricing information for forecasting and reporting purposes

• Instruct, coach, and mentor team members on market trends and sales strategies

• Work closely with the North America Sales Director

• Engage in extensive domestic travel and some international travel


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Lighting, Business Administration, Marketing, or Architecture

• A minimum of ten years of progressive experience in professional sales or technical support roles is preferred

• A minimum of five years of experience in the specification lighting sector is preferred

• Familiarity with selling, pricing, marketing, and distribution models within the industry

• Proficient selling and presentation skills with a proven track record of achieving sales targets through annual marketing strategies and continuous goal management

• Ability to articulate and promote the features and advantages of Lumascape products while conducting training and educational sessions

• Strong dedication to customer service

• Technical knowledge of both company and competitor offerings

• Capable of performing field service, troubleshooting systems, recommending solutions, and demonstrating side-by-side product comparisons

• Understanding of finance and budgeting processes

• Skill in preparing budgets and managing expenses within allocated budgets

• Ability to establish and sustain effective internal and external working relationships

• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English

• Ability to leverage relationships and negotiate contracts effectively

• Willingness to travel extensively, reside in a strategic location within the territory, and work flexible hours

• Proficient in computer skills, including Windows programs, word processing, spreadsheets, and CRM applications

• Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company insurance requirements

• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport

• Knowledge of consultative selling techniques, agency representatives, distribution channels, the specification process, business management, and marketing techniques

• Ability to teach, coach, mentor, and facilitate training in both small and large group settings

• Goal-oriented with a capacity to meet or exceed sales objectives

• Ability to lead, plan, and organize efforts across assigned regions

• Advanced level of product knowledge is preferred

• Advanced coursework in business management, project management, IT skills, or a related field is preferred
