This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Drive sales to both prospective and existing MULTIVAC clients across the Western United States and Hawaii.
• Oversee the entire sales cycle, including prospecting, reporting, quoting, and closing deals in alignment with sales objectives.
• Discover sales opportunities through personal visits, leads provided by the company, and various prospecting techniques.
• Utilize company marketing resources, demonstration facilities, and sales team members to facilitate the sales process.
• Participate in material test trials and enhance relationships with operations teams.
• Explore additional business prospects during customer trials.
• Work in tandem with Customer Support Representatives and Forecast and Pricing Analysts on materials forecasting, quoting, order processing, and trials.
• Maintain the CRM system in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate with equipment sales and management teams to ensure material effectiveness and promote sales to targeted accounts.
• Provide necessary information and documentation for proposals and orders.
• Manage customer expectations regarding trials and orders.
• Serve as the Business Manager for the designated region and/or key accounts.
• Address issues from initial trials through receivables collection and quality concerns with appropriate MULTIVAC departments and partners.
• Monitor and report on competitive activities.
• Operate within the annual expense budget and achieve individual sales targets.
• Attend trade shows, sales meetings, industry conferences, and other activities directed by management.
• Support Regional Sales Associates.
• Stay updated on industry trends and effective selling methodologies.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of five years of sales experience.
• At least one year of experience selling packaging materials.
• Capability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical literature, financial reports, and legal documents.
• Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, and the business community.
• Skill in calculating discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Proficiency in applying basic algebra and geometry.
• Aptitude for defining problems, gathering data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and manage both abstract and concrete variables.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Proficient in contact management systems.
• Must possess a current valid driver's license.
• Capability to obtain a passport for travel as required by the role.
• Willingness to travel approximately 70%, with potential for more based on location.
• Flexible availability for customer schedules, trade shows, meetings, and travel commitments.
• Frequent travel to customer locations and trade shows.
