This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Achieve or surpass company sales targets for the designated Birmingham, Alabama region.
• Develop and maintain account and territory strategies to set and meet sales goals.
• Cultivate and promote a customer-focused culture through relationships with physicians and hospital stakeholders.
• Strive for continuous professional development in areas such as results orientation, product approval processes, territory growth, and clinical expertise.
• Share best practices and innovative ideas with team members.
• Utilize computer-based customer and account management systems to track interactions, activities, and follow-ups.
• Submit timely activity reports along with monthly and quarterly business reviews.
• Support trade show presentations and participate in company-sponsored sales meetings.
• Collaborate with surgeons to enhance visibility through SPR presentations at Grand Rounds, journal clubs, and poster sessions.
• Identify cases suitable for case studies, white papers, and additions to the video library.
• Contribute to project team activities.
• Organize and facilitate hospital product approval processes.
• Identify additional target hospitals and physicians within the territory.
• Assist in training surgeons and hospital staff.
• Engage in extensive day travel, with occasional overnight and weekend commitments.
• Over 3 years of sales experience, ideally in orthopedic or medical device sales.
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree; a related field is preferred.
• Capability to “concept” sell innovative products.
• Proven success in a start-up setting and/or product launches.
• Proficient in customer and account profiling.
• History of consistently surpassing sales goals and leading team rankings.
• Strong professional references attesting to the esteem held by former supervisors and top-tier clients.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with high initiative and self-direction.
• Essential experience and skills in customer service.
• Strong self-starter and effective team player with skills in building consensus.
• Ability to assess communication and advertising materials and provide recommendations.
• Experience in developing and implementing tools to ensure accurate feedback on business needs and enhancements.
• Ability to effectively communicate customer requirements within the organization.
• Aptitude for anticipating the timing and necessity of new promotional materials.
• Capability to work effectively by phone and email for company management.
• Comfortable in a start-up atmosphere and willing to adapt to a larger, more structured organization.
• Ability to work efficiently in a virtual environment, whether at home or in a centrally located office.
• Flexibility in working hours based on project and/or customer demands.
• Extensive daytime travel with occasional overnight and weekend trips.
• Must uphold current RepTrax and similar third-party accreditation standards for access to target accounts.
