This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Attain regional sales objectives and foster growth through effective sales strategies and implementation.
• Collaborate with sales team members to meet sales goals.
• Identify and cultivate new customer relationships while also enhancing existing ones.
• Launch and integrate new products with clients.
• Execute business strategies and promote key items to customers for sustainable growth.
• Partner with brokers to enhance the execution, distribution, and introduction of consumer packaged goods in the area.
• Oversee broker relationships to boost the distribution of product lines.
• Train and oversee the sales activities of broker representatives.
• Organize regional sales plans and support with sales proposals, presentations, and customer calls.
• Provide training on product sales to brokers.
• Engage with customers and key decision-makers to foster and increase sales.
• Create and present formal proposals and presentations.
• Identify and implement regional programs, including sales incentives and tailored marketing initiatives.
• Execute and manage Smithfield sales plans and promotional activities.
• Leverage syndicated data and other resources to inform sales strategies.
• Ensure alignment with company functions to meet sales objectives.
• Promote a positive employee experience through development and coaching initiatives.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution and over 5 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent mix of education and experience, is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in team management or project leadership is required.
• Must have a solid grasp of the Consumer Packaged Goods sector.
• Strong understanding of customer-centric and data-driven selling, including familiarity with IRI, Nielsen, and Perishable Group data.
• Knowledge of product cuttings and comfort with product attributes is essential.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• High level of written and verbal communication, organizational skills, teamwork, analytical reasoning, and flexibility.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
• Respectful and approachable; team-oriented, fostering strong working relationships and a positive workplace atmosphere.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness and ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
